Korea Travel Guide is a personal blog published at kortg.com. By reading it, you’re agreeing to the plain-language terms below. There’s no account to create and nothing to sign — this is what governs the relationship between a free informational site and the people who read it.
What this site is
This is an independent, personal travel-information blog. Every guide is written to answer a specific question about visiting or living in Korea — tickets, entry rules, opening seasons, prices, and the customs nobody bothers to write down. Nothing on this site is booked, sold, held, or transacted through kortg.com itself; every guide links out to the actual official source or operator for that.
Information accuracy
Every guide is fact-checked against a primary source at the time it’s written or updated, and carries the date that check happened. But Korean opening seasons, visitor quotas, fees, and booking rules change — sometimes on short notice, sometimes without much English-language notice at all.
This site is not a substitute for checking the official source on the day you actually need the information. If a price, date, or rule here turns out to be wrong or outdated, I want to know — see the contact page — but I can’t be responsible for a booking, a fee, or a missed opportunity that depended on a detail that changed after the guide was checked.
Third-party links and services
Guides link out to official government agencies, national park services, ticketing platforms, and transport operators. Those sites are run independently, have their own terms and privacy policies, and this site has no control over their content, availability, or accuracy. Linking to a third party is not an endorsement of everything on that site, and it isn’t a paid placement — see the privacy policy for how advertising and analytics work here.
Advertising
This site participates in Google AdSense and may display ads served by Google and its partners. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content, and no guide’s recommendations are influenced by advertising placement. Details on the cookies involved are in the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The written guides on this site are original work. You’re welcome to link to any page, or to quote a short passage with a link back and credit. Copying a full guide onto another site without permission isn’t allowed.
Photographs on this site are used either under the Korea Tourism Organization’s KOGL open-licence terms (with attribution shown at the end of the relevant guide) or generated for illustrative purposes — neither implies endorsement by the pictured location or its operator.
Comments
Comments are welcome and are moderated by hand. Spam, abusive language, and comments unrelated to the guide they’re posted under may be removed without notice. Leaving a comment doesn’t give you any ownership over how it’s displayed or used on this site.
No warranty, limited liability
This site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, I’m not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on information in it — including a missed booking, an incorrect fee, or a decision made based on a guide that had gone out of date. If a law where you live doesn’t allow that kind of limitation, only the part that law permits applies to you.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site changes — new features, a different advertising arrangement, or just clearer wording. The date at the top of this page moves with any real change.
Governing law
This site is operated from South Korea, and these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law where you live.
Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact page.
