Checkout is at 11am. Your flight leaves at nine tonight. That leaves ten hours in a city you came a long way to see, and a suitcase you cannot drag through Gyeongbokgung.
Every traveller hits this on their last day, and luggage storage in Seoul is better organised than most people expect. The good news is that the city has two separate systems for it, run by the same city transit authority, and one of them will even carry your bag to the airport while you spend the afternoon somewhere better. The catch is that the cheaper option locks up at midnight, and almost nobody tells you that before you have already paid.
Luggage storage in Seoul comes in two forms
Seoul Metro runs both. T-Locker (또타라커) is the bank of self-service coin lockers you see near the ticket gates at most stations. T-Luggage (또타러기지) is a staffed counter that exists at only six stations, takes bigger bags, and offers same-day delivery.
Lockers are cheaper and everywhere, so most luggage storage in Seoul ends up being one of them. The staffed counters cost a little more, handle suitcases that never fit a locker anyway, and can put your bag on a van to Incheon.
Pick lockers for a daypack or a few hours. Pick the counter for a full-size suitcase, or for the day you fly out.

T-Locker prices and the midnight rule
Rates run in blocks. The base price buys four hours, then it climbs by the hour.
| Locker size | Weekday (4 hrs) | Weekend (4 hrs) |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 2,200 won | 3,100 won |
| Medium | 3,300 won | 4,600 won |
| Large | 4,400 won | 6,100 won |
After the first four hours you pay 500 won an hour for a small locker, 800 for a medium and 1,000 for a large. Weekend rates are roughly 40 percent higher than weekday rates, which is the sort of detail that turns a 2,200-won plan into a 6,100-won one if you happen to be sightseeing on a Saturday.
Now the part that matters most. T-Locker runs 05:00 to 24:00 — and outside those hours you can neither put a bag in nor take one out. The lockers sit inside the paid area of a station that closes overnight. If your flight boards at 2am and you were counting on grabbing your bag at half past midnight, that plan does not work.
Anything left behind is held for a maximum of one month, then donated or disposed of. The call centre runs 06:00 to 24:00 on 1877-1265 or 1670-4302, and staff aim to reach a locker within two hours if something jams.
The six stations with a staffed counter
T-Luggage counters are open 09:00 to 22:00, every day of the year, which is a narrower window than the lockers at one end and a wider one at the other.
There are six, all on the basement level:
Storage is priced by suitcase size in inches, again in four-hour blocks, plus 1,000 won per extra hour regardless of the day.
| Suitcase size | Weekday (4 hrs) | Weekend (4 hrs) |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 20 in | 3,000 won | 4,000 won |
| 20–23 in | 4,000 won | 6,000 won |
| 23–27 in | 6,000 won | 9,000 won |
| Over 27 in | 9,000 won | 13,000 won |
I went looking for luggage storage in Seoul expecting the usual answer — a locker, a coin, done. What I did not expect was the third column on the price sheet, which is where this gets genuinely useful.
- Seoul Station (Line 1) — B1, toward Exit 1
- Hongik University Station (Line 2) — B1, toward Exits 3 and 4
- Jamsil Station (Line 2) — B1, toward Exits 3 and 4
- Myeongdong Station (Line 4) — B1, toward Exits 9 and 10
- Gimpo Airport Station (Line 5) — B1, toward the I-Center
- Jongno 3-ga Station (Line 5) — B1, toward Exit 6

Send the suitcase to the airport instead
The same counters run same-day delivery, and the destination can be Incheon Airport. You hand the bag over in the morning, go do something with your last day, and collect it at the airport before you fly.
| Suitcase size | Weekday | Weekend |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 23 in | 20,000 won | 29,000 won |
| 23–27 in | 26,000 won | 38,000 won |
| 27–36 in | 31,000 won | 45,000 won |
Station-to-station delivery inside Seoul costs slightly less for a carry-on — 17,000 won on a weekday — and the same for anything larger. If you are moving between two hotels on your last day rather than flying out, that is the version you want.
Twenty thousand won for a carry-on is roughly what you would pay to store the same bag for most of a day and then haul it onto the Airport Railroad yourself. For a full day, delivery often costs about the same as storage — and you travel empty-handed. Book it through the operator's site at tluggage.co.kr rather than turning up and hoping.
If you are already at Incheon
Luggage storage in Seoul does not stop at the city limits — the airport has its own counters, and which terminal you are in changes who you deal with. Incheon's official facility directory lists them separately.
Terminal 1 has JimCarry, on the third floor near check-in counter B, open 07:00 to 21:00. A second JimCarry desk near check-in counter N runs 24 hours. There is also a post office on the second floor, open 09:00 to 18:00, if you would rather mail something home than carry it.
Terminal 2 is served by Hanjin, with a desk at the west end of the first floor near Gate 1 (07:00 to 21:00) and a 24-hour counter on the third floor west, near Gate 1, that combines courier, storage and a packing zone.
The 24-hour desks are the ones worth remembering. If your inbound lands at 1am and you cannot check into your guesthouse until the afternoon, that is where the bag goes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I leave a bag overnight in a subway locker?
You can leave it in the locker, but you cannot retrieve it between midnight and 5am, because this form of luggage storage in Seoul only operates 05:00–24:00. For an overnight gap before an early flight, use one of the 24-hour counters at Incheon instead.
What happens if I do not come back for my bag?
Items left in a T-Locker are held for up to one month. After that, with no request to extend, they are donated or disposed of. If you realise you will be late, call 1877-1265 while the centre is open, 06:00 to 24:00.
Wrapping Up
Three numbers decide which luggage storage in Seoul suits you: lockers stop at midnight, staffed counters stop at 22:00, and only the airport desks run around the clock. Match those against your flight time before you decide where the bag sleeps.
The one that surprised me while checking the official price sheets was how close storage and delivery end up for a full day. If you are already paying for eight or ten hours of locker time on your last day in the city, paying a little more to have the suitcase meet you at Incheon is a better use of the money.
Prices and hours here come from Seoul Metro and Incheon Airport's own published information, checked on 31 August 2026. Both change from time to time, so confirm on the day at T-Locker, T-Luggage or Incheon Airport's facility directory.
